The Challenge

Blanchard & Calhoun is a family–owned fifth generation real estate company with offices throughout the CSRA. They needed another location quickly, to better serve the fast–growing communities of South Augusta.

The design challenge was how to transform 2,100 square feet of empty space in a retail shopping center into an impressive, yet comfortable environment for 15 employees and their clients. The space had to reflect the rich heritage of the company, high style and customer respect.

The Results

Modern Business Systems provided the solution with a moveable wall system manufactured by Haworth. The beauty of the system is that it couples exceptional good looks with exceptional flexibility. The result is a design that can move, change and grow with the business.

Mahagony and deep cherry tones add warmth and prestige to Blanchard & Calhoun’s unique corporate identity. In the front of the building, two meeting rooms for private conferences flank the elegant reception area. Private offices line the horse–shoe shaped hallway that wraps around a central communications hub. The floor to ceiling walls look like traditional millwork and the panels are interchangeable, offering an array of design options in glass, wood or fabric.

Ms. Squarcette and her associates were "wowed" with the results. "The designers worked around the clock and beyond our expectations," she said, "and as we grow, we’ll take our walls and Modern Business Systems with us!"
